CEG Educational Projects

Florida Institute of Technology CAMID Building

Construction Engineering Group provided the of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural and civil engineering design services for the Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Innovation Design at Florida Tech in Palm Bay, FL. MEP engineering included demolition drawings for 64,500 square feet of existing floor space and new MEP construction drawings for office, laboratory, light manufacturing and miscellaneous support space. Civil engineering scope comprised additional sidewalks and storm-water improvements. Structural engineering services involved the design of two new stairwells and new wall openings. Extensive construction administration included precon meetings, RFIs, shop drawing reviews/revisions, multiple site inspections, construction meetings, as-built survey review and site permit certifications.

Avant Garde Academy

This Kissimmee, FL, school project was completed in multiple phases. The first phase consisted of a temporary modular campus for grades first through sixth, play courts, parking, storm drainage, utilities and landscaping was also provided. The second phase removed the modular elementary school and existing amenities, constructed a new two-story 44,278 square-foot, tilt-panel classroom/administration building for 1,012 students in grades sixth through 12th. New parking facilities with covered bus and parent drop offs, along with new paved volleyball and basketball courts, and a state-of-the-art artificial multipurpose turf field. All new utilities including a lift station were part of phase two as well as two new FDOT driveway openings and turn lanes. Phase three construction included a new two-story, 26,336-square-foot, tilt-panel classroom addition and a new 12,670-square-foot gymnasium for a total student count of 1,328. All phases were delivered on time for the school openings.

Pineapple Cove Academy

Construction Engineering Group provided the engineering design and construction administration of the Pineapple Cove Classical Academy’s Palm Bay, FL, campus. We provided SCMEP design engineering as well as construction administration. Project included site design and permitting services for the K-8 charter school including a new driveway entrance, utility extensions with water and wastewater via a lift station, play fields, storm-water treatment/conveyance, parking/walkways, and landscaping. In addition, CEG provided full structural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing engineering design. Construction administration included shop drawing review, RFIs, site visits, inspections and meetings.
